- Jul 25, 2026 · Joe · visibility 2 m (7 ft) — Wonderful guided tour for a family that booked with Sound Dive Center. First cold-water experience for the group. DM Mike's group saw 2 GPOs, and we saw a dogfish shark. Viz in the shallows was okay - 8 feet or so. Below 20' it got to about 20'. Looks like O2 levels in the Hood Canal are low. All the creatures we saw seemed lethargic, especially the wolf eel - we saw one full length out in the open; it looked like it was gasping. Seen: Striped Seaperch, Lingcod, Ochre Star, Red Rock Crab, Kelp Crab, Spiny Dogfish, Plumose Anemone (White Variety), Plumose Anemone (Orange Variety), Wolf Eel, Quillback Rockfish, California Sea Cucumber, Five-ribbed Kelp, Acid Weed.
- Jul 4, 2026 · Johnnie · visibility 4 m (13 ft) — Did the YSS group dive. Great group of people. Visibility was fantastic once you dropped below 35fsw. Lots of animals out. Fantastic dive. Saw a GPO on eggs at about 50fsw on the south wall. A couple of wolf eels too. Seen: Lingcod, Giant Pacific Octopus, Nudibranch, Wolf Eel.
