Site briefing
Divesite is on the south side of the community pier. Entry is via the concrete stairs (with a hand rail!) and walking into the water. Two rivers connect to Hood Canal nearby and result in a halocline in the area. Bottom composition is cobbles and mud. Parking is on the street, with a handful of parking spots on each side of the street. Good spot for skills work, or exploring below the marina. Locals report a handful of sunken boats near / under the boat docks; in the 25 foot range.
Entry and route
Walk down the stairs to access the water, and swim out to your target and descend. Given that there is a marina at the site, place your dive flag in a way that doesn’t impede the multiple usage types of the waterway. Stay aware of potential overhead environments (like the dock structure), boats and fishing.
